ABOUT THE Rec League PROGRAM

Ice Realm is committed to offering an age appropriate and positive learning environment focused on long term athlete development principles (LTAD). Ice Realm's primary focus is on creating a "development zone" where kids learn life lessons through sport while rapidly developing their skills towards fulfilling their ultimate potential. We are completely against the hyper-competitive, adult focused, "win at all costs" culture and are committed to doing what's best for the athlete on and off the ice.

Practices are held at Ice Realm Carlsbad and games are played against local teams in the San Diego Metro Area.

League Jersey Package 

All players are required to wear league-matching jerseys and socks for games.

Our official League Jersey Package includes:

• Reversible Home & Away Jersey (customized with your name and number)
• Matching Game Socks
• Price: $130 - a one time purchase to be used for our IRYHL to be used until the player grows out!

This is a one-time purchase unless your player outgrows their current set. It’s a great value for the quality of the gear! If you have any questions regarding sizing and the ordering link, please do not hesitate to reach out!

• 4 convenient 3 month seasons per year (fall, winter, spring, summer)
• Referees for all games
• Free public session on practice and game day

Mini-Mite (ages 6 and Under)

-Cross-ice games played 3 on 3 or 4 on 4

-Players encouraged to try all positions, even goalie! (don't worry, we have the gear)

Mite (ages 8 and Under)

-Half-ice games played 3 on 3 or 4 on 4

-Players encouraged to try all positions, even goalie! (don't worry, we have the gear)

Squirts (ages 10 and Under)

-Full-ice games played 5 on 5

-Players encouraged to try all positions, and the opportunity to play goalie full time is introduced here.

Peewee (ages 12 and Under)

-Full-ice games played 5 on 5

-Players encouraged to try all positions, and the opportunity to play goalie full time is available.

Bantam (ages 14 and Under)

-Full-ice games played 5 on 5

-Players encouraged to try all positions, and the opportunity to play goalie full time is available.
