SKATING ACADEMY LESSONS AT ICE Realm carlsbad
At Ice Realm Carlsbad, we use the Learn To Skate USA program for our Skating Academy. The Learn To Skate USA program is designed to be the best beginner’s ice skating program that serves the needs of both the recreational and competitive skater. Through this program, our coaching staff helps skaters achieve their goals, whether they be Olympic fame or simply to enjoy the recreational benefits of skating.
Classes are grouped by age and ability and depending on your level, classes are 30 minutes. There are five weeks during the year that classes are not held: Memorial Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Year. Please note that our semester dates are scheduled around holiday breaks. Additionally, we offer monthly installment plans for all of our semester pricing options.
There are 3 Semester Plans offered:
#1 Semester Plan: (This plan includes 1 class per week)
#2 Semester Plan: (This plan includes 2 classes per week)
#3 Semester Plan: (This plan includes 3 classes per week)
- We are pleased to inform you that all members enrolled in a semester will receive unlimited open skate sessions for the duration of that semester.
These sessions can only be used by the Ice Realm academy member and are not transferable.
HOW TO GET STARTED
All skaters must be members of Learn to Skate USA in order to participate in the Academy.
During our registration process you will be charged the Learn to Skate USA membership fee.
If you already purchased the registration for the year please contact Carlsbad Box Office and provide you membership number to be added to your account.

Summer Semester Pricing: June 30th-Sept. 19th, 2026
1 Class Per Week
• $300 Paid in Full
• $350 Payment Plan
2 Classes Per Week
• $465 Paid in Full
• $515 Payment Plan
3 Classes Per Week
• $627 Paid in Full
• $677 Payment Plan
Payment plans will consist of a down payment and 2 monthly installments.
- For those taking more than one class per week, please reach out to the Box Office (boxofficecarlsbad@icerealm.com) to add the additional classes to your account.

Lanyards & QR Check-In
All Spring Semester students will receive a lanyard that includes their name, class, and a QR code for check-in. Lanyards will be distributed once tuition has been paid and the semester has officially begun.
Prorated Tuition
Accounts with monthly packages that end after April 6th will be prorated accordingly.
